The year 2005 to 2006 has been another exciting, challenging and rewarding year for both RVM & Associates and Eaton Associates.  In particular RVM & Associates has been instrumental in producing several landscaping planning proposals for architects A J Browne & Company, including the Old Police Station and Courthouse in Ramsgate, incorporating the Grade II listed Cavendish Baptist Church.  This outstanding proposal, comprising a school and ninety one apartments over four storeys,  presented the opportunity to create open cobbled courtyards lined with rows of espaliered lime trees, under planted with formal evergreen hedging.  We were able to lend this exciting project our expertise, gained through our previous experience of working with planning departments and in particular, our interest in working with historic buildings and examining how they successfully incorporate into more modern environments.  We also enjoyed working creatively with A J Browne & Company and applying our practical knowledge in addressing planting and maintenance issues.

RVM & Associates has continued to enjoy working with existing clients.  In addition to undertaking new projects for private clients, we are now in our third year of working with the London council, the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  We have notably enjoyed coordinating and managing the restoration of the front entrances to a row of twenty terraced houses, ten of which are Grade II listed.  The past year has also seen an increase in the number of planning applications that we have handled for RBKC Tenant Management Organisation.

Eaton Associates has similarly experienced a very positive period of growth in the field of quantity surveying and in addition to being appointed on several new major projects, including the refurbishment of two further country houses in the Cotswolds, this past year has seen a return to working in the commercial sector, with new appointments being awarded by the Bank of Tokyo - Mitsubishi UFJ and Legal Services Commission.

Finally, Eaton Associates were also proud to co-sponsor the yacht 'Kotari' in the recent Little Britain Challenge Cup; the construction industry's annual charity sailing event.  Alongside co-sponsors Cowan Architects and MB Consultants, a respectable 5th place was awarded overall in the Alliance Teams.

A VINTAGE YEAR  FOR RVM & ASSOCIATES

The past twelve months have amounted to being a vintage year for RVM & Associates, with new projects offering a range of diversity and interest commensurate with the type of work we find exciting, challenging and rewarding.  New relationships with new clients have been established and existing relationships have grown in strength.

One of RVM & Associates' most interesting current projects is the specification of internal finishes for an "eco house"  in Kent.  We are delighted to be working with architects A J Browne & Company on this unique and creative project, working within some very interesting parameters.  Along side what promises to be an impressive example of contemporary architecture, our aim is to achieve an interior that is at once aesthetically harmonious and balanced, incorporating some of the vibrant key notes of nature, whilst not compromising on modern day design objectives to create a polished and sophisticated interior with a genuine "wow factor".  All of this must be achieved whilst remaining "eco" and "eco-nomically" friendly.

RVM & Associates are delighted to be entering their second year of working with the London council, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.  The key objectives that we have successfully addressed are feasibility, priority and cost appraisal and specification and procurement options.  We look forward to another year of partnership!

Building on our reputation for excellent Client Representation and Project Coordination, RVM & Associates is also delighted to announce the arrival of two new projects in the highly acclaimed development, The Knightsbridge, in the heart of central London.   We always pride ourselves on our extremely high level of commitment to our Clients when we undertake this role and we look forward to some outstanding results in the year to come.

Finally, we are pleased to report that it has also been a vintage year for our Quantity Surveyor associate, Eaton Associates.  These photographs show a recently completed project in Gloucestershire, comprising the major refurbishment of the main house and associated outbuildings, with the addition of extensive equine facilities and tennis courts.  This time RVM & Associates provided costs support on the landscaping element of the works.
